This lesson is to explain what Emotional Intelligence is, why it is important and how we use it.
Each of us experiences “feelings” every day and how we feel can impact our decision-making, our moods, how we communicate and interact with people. Feelings can even impact our health. It is important to understand how we feel and why we feel it, and it is also important to understand what is considered an appropriate expression of our feelings in certain social situations. Once we understand ourselves, it is easier to understand others and to interpret their feelings so that we can react appropriately and be empathetic when necessary.
